Police deploy detectives to hunt killers of Catholic Priest

 

The Monitor General of Police (IGP), Mr Mohammed Adamu, has conveyed investigators from the Power Central command to chase for the enemies of Rev. Fr. Paul Offu, a Catholic Cleric in .

The Power Advertising Official (FPRO), DCP Straightforward Mba in an announcement on Friday in Abuja said the IGP had requested enormous manhunt for the enemies of the cleric.

The cleric, who was shot dead on Aug. 1 by obscure shooters, was responsible for St. James the More noteworthy Area Catholic Church, Ugbawka, Enugu state.

“Break analysts from the IGP-Knowledge Reaction Unit (IRT), the Scientific and Murder segments of the Power Criminal Examination Office (FCID) have been conveyed to Enugu State.

“The sending is to supplement the Enugu Order of the Power in their examinations concerning the lamentable episode.

“What’s more, the AIG responsible for Zone 9 Central command has been coordinated to assemble more units of Police Portable Power (PMF) staff to dark spots in Enugu State,” he said.

As indicated by him, Strategic and Operational resources of the Power have been sent with the Chief of Police, Ogun State Direction playing the lead job in the hunt and salvage activities.

He said the IGP while denouncing the murdering of the Catholic Minister and the snatching of the priests, called for quiet and guaranteed that the culprits would not go unpunished.

Mba said the IGP asked people in general to profit the police with valid data that would help with securing the hoodlums.
